The leaders challenging
the status quo.

Held each February during Black History Month, our MWWV Summit exists to ask one question: are our schools measuring what actually matters for every student, or only what’s easy to count?

This summit was built on purpose, to center the students and communities the system too often leaves out of the conversation, and to put the leaders who can change that in one room.

An engaged school-system leader listening during an MWWV Summit session

District, charter, and county leaders in the room together.

~200 attendees shaping what schools value
  • District leaders 35%
  • Education directors 25%
  • Charter leaders 20%
  • Students 10%
  • Education partners 10%
My biggest takeaway was hearing from our student voices. Their voices were a true testament for us to listen to and understand circumstances/stories of every one of our students. Past summit attendee
