Why this matters
Clarity's strategic tools can read your LCAP or SPSA with AI and turn it into something you can view, edit, and — for Real users — actively evaluate. This guide walks through uploading a plan, what to expect while it processes, and what you get once it's ingested.
This feature is in beta. It does a lot, but if something looks off or should have worked differently, flag it to your LIS — they'll pass it to the developers. More in-product communication is coming.

- Administrators and program directors responsible for LCAP or SPSA implementation
- Real users who want to evaluate how well plan actions are actually being carried out
Step-by-step
Open Strategic Plans
Scroll down to Strategic Plan in the left navigation. If you already have plans ingested, you'll see them listed. If not, you'll see an Upload Strategic Plan prompt instead.
Upload your plan
Click Upload Plan, then either browse for a file or drag and drop it in. Give it a name (for example, "Rialto LCAP") and click Upload.
Let it process
Once the file is accepted, you'll get a success confirmation and a prompt to process the plans. Processing takes roughly:
- ~15 minutes for an LCAP
- ~5 minutes for a SPSA
Larger documents take a bit longer, but that's the target. And yes — SPSAs are accepted as well as LCAPs.
Review what the AI pulled out
Once ingested, the AI extracts your plan's goals, actions, and metrics and organizes them for you. It's also smart enough to identify different organizations within a single LCAP and differentiate the data accordingly.
You can edit here too — including creating your own goal with Add Goal.
Evaluate an action (Real users)
If you have access to Parsec Real, open an action and use the evaluation component. It pulls from your LCAP — the budget, action description, and more — to:
- Generate evaluative questions and a rubric
- Automatically collect answers from teachers, staff, and students
- Weigh those answers against the rubric
The result: a clear read on how well you've actually implemented a given action in your plan.
