Erin Walker is an entrepreneur and esteemed educator with a wealth of experience across the educational landscape. Her journey in education has been multifaceted, encompassing roles as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, site and district administrator. She left her role of Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in Compton Unified in 2016 to launch NextGenMath.com in 2016. This diverse background has provided Erin with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the education sector, shaping her innovative approach to addressing complex issues.

Drawing on her extensive experience, Erin has played a pivotal role in crafting successful Math intervention programs that yield high results, implementing teacher-friendly data analysis processes, and designing instructional plans aligned with Common Core Math standards. Her greatest passion is to provide educators with a simple solution to the ever prevalent question:  You Have Your Data, Now What?  Her hands-on experience in various educational capacities has equipped her with invaluable insights into the needs of educators and students alike, informing her strategic leadership at Next Gen Math, LLC.

Joost DeMoes is the dynamic President of Next Gen Math, renowned for his fervent dedication to mathematics education, prowess in innovative system design, and entrepreneurial spirit in technology. With a richly diverse background spanning various educational roles, Joost has served as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Business across two districts, and County Administrator of Instructional Services. He has also held leadership positions as a Middle School Principal in two schools, an Elementary Principal in two schools, and has taught Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at both the High School and Middle School levels. His experience extends to elementary education, having taught First and Sixth grade, and he has also shared his expertise as a University Professor.

Notably, Joost spearheaded the groundbreaking work of The Learning Network, a pioneering team dedicated to continuous systems improvement. Under his leadership, they developed an innovative improvement model that has been adopted by numerous California School Districts. Additionally, Joost is the mastermind behind the Rigor Mat, a revolutionary tool that not only elucidates the intricacies of daily mathematics learning but also offers insightful interpretations of assessment data across all proficiency levels. His passion for advancing mathematical education and his innovative contributions continue to shape the landscape of educational practices.
